Inform Billing and Eximus provide flexible billing solution for Robin Hood Airport Business Park

Eximus Solutions teamed up with Derby-based Inform Billing to deliver tailored and flexible IT and data solutions to the wide variety of tenants based at Robin Hood Airport Business Park.

Effectively owning the network that sits on the land at the Doncaster airport, Eximus Solutions provides the data and communications network to primary tenant, Robin Hood Airport, along with several other sub tenants on the business park.

These sub tenants benefit from an IT and data infrastructure in line with a large corporate company, regardless of their size. The VoIP solution provided allowed for scalability, flexibility as well as reduced cost for each of the businesses. The challenge was to find an equally flexible billing platform to accurately bill these options.

Maurice Lee, Managing Director at Eximus Solutions, says “After historically allowing the distributor to bill services to customers, we decided to bring billing in-house. We knew the move would improve efficiencies but most importantly provide a higher level of service, only achievable by taking control of our billing.” Through working with Inform Billing, Eximus Solutions were able to take greater control of their billing, provide the desired flexibility but also increase the airport’s profile with its customers.

Shaun Bodsworth, Managing Director at Inform Billing explains: “The multi-level functionality of our ‘Eclipse’ billing software allows Eximus to provide billing to other tenants located in or around the airport, on behalf of the airport authority or other service providers or landlords, under their own identity.

“For example, a tenant of the airport can be billed for their communications or data services by the airport, but with Eximus controlling the billing output the airport authority can bill their clients without doing a thing. All services are supported and provided by Eximus Solutions in conjunction with Inform Billing’s ‘Eclipse’ billing platform.”

The initial training Inform Billing provide, along with any ongoing training and support required ensures that Eximus Solutions can rely on many years expertise and experience without the need for employing specific resource in-house.

Maurice at Eximus Solutions says “The support Inform Billing has given is excellent, their knowledge of this service and complex but comprehensive system, gives us everything we need to run our billing efficiently. It’s just like having your own in-house system, without the expense of purchasing one.” Maurice continues, “The white-labelled presentation of the invoices is very detailed and professional”.

The approach used with Eximus Solutions has opened up many new opportunities for Inform Billing. Shaun continues, “For Inform Billing the ability to provide multi-level billing has opened up many opportunities for us with the landlord/ tenant scenario. Now airports, business parks and serviced offices are all taking advantage of our billing platform – as well as typical re-seller channels.”

For Eximus Solutions the next move is to roll the billing solution out to the rest of its parent group Elippse together with other direct customers. Maurice says “Since this has been so successful we will be moving to Inform Billing’s online customer portal, Enlighten, in the near future which enhances the service to our customers via our website.”
